Another year gone. Can you believe it?!
This year has been one crazy ride for me and my family.
Some of the great things that happened this year - Mehkaelie started kindergarten and has loved it. She's doing super well and absolutely loves to read now. Cole started potty training, and while he's not potty trained, he's trying. He has also started talking in full sentences!
This year hasn't been too bad for us. We have lost family, but, we have also gained family.
We've all made new friends this year and have more or less managed to keep a hold of the old ones!
I don't believe in "resolutions". I don't think you should set yourself up for things unless you are more than 110% sure you can achieve them. I do however think that everyone should have hopes and therefore, here are a few of mine for 2008.
I hope this year keeps us all healthy and happy.
I hope Mehkaelie learns more, makes more friends, and enjoys the remainder of her Kindergarten year. I also hope that we all handle the change to First Grade!! well. I hope she gets a good teacher. I hope she laughs more than she cries, and learns to love a little deeper as she gets a little older. I hope she knows every day how much I love her.
I hope Cole potty trains this year. I hope he learns how to play better with his sister and learns to share a little more. I also hope he laughs more than he cries. I hope he knows how much I love him and I hope he learns something new, at least every month!
I hope I will have the energy and motivation to lose weight and get into shape. I hope I will have the ability to stay calm when things get crazy. I hope I will have the ability to remove things that are toxic from my life and that of my children's and replace them with things that are good for all of us. I hope that this year I learn how to be a better mom, daughter, friend, and sister. I also hope I'll be able to put more into my crafting this year and learn a few more things.
I hope you all had a good 2007. And here's to an even better 2008!
